Oh, Christmas Tree

On Saturday we loaded up the car and headed out to pick out our Christmas tree. This is the second year that we have gone to this great tree farm where you pick out your tree and chop it down. It is not a parking lot (where we were buying our trees) but it's not too far out of town so it is a great option for our Christmas tree needs. Lucas was very excited for the Christmas tree adventure and couldn't wait to get there!
Daddy loaded up baby Lexie (who loves to be in the baby Bjorn), we threw on our boots (it was quite muddy) and we set out to find the perfect tree.

Lucas was on a mission to find a "gargantuan" tree. He took off and said he would let us know when he found his "gargantuan" tree.

Yep, this is the "gargantuan" tree he picked out. So funny! He was not happy when I told him we couldn't take this one home. He assured me that Papa Pete could cut it down for him. Unfortunately this tree was bigger than our house so we had to keep looking.

Lexie wanted a tree this big :).
This is the tree we finally decided on. Lucas was not too happy about it and reluctantly agreed to pose by the tree when I told him he could help cut it down. This is the first tree I saw and after wandering around awhile came back to (I always end up getting the first tree I see!).

With the sharp saw ready to cut down the tree.

Helping Papa Pete cut it down. He was very excited when he got to yell timber and it came crashing down.
Our beautiful tree and our beautiful family.

It was another great Christmas tree hunt with Papa Pete and Grandma Janie.
