Over the winter our beautiful wall in the backyard started to show signs of collapse. We had hoped it was just an optical illusion but sadly that was not the case.
This was the initial rock fall and although no more rock has fallen we knew it was just a matter of time. Since we have small children who play back here we didn't think it was safe to chance it so we decided to tear it down.
Dad brought over a bobcat this weekend and he and Travis set to work tearing out the wall.
Lucas, of course, wanted to help.
But, Dad and Travis got stuck with the bulk of the heavy lifting. And there was definitely some heavy lifting going on. Some of the rocks were huge!

Lucas used his big muscles to help load the bobcat. Finally all the rocks were loaded and the wall was down. Phase one of this project is complete!
