Lucas went on his first camping trip last weekend with Papa Pete and Grandma Janie. Papa picked him up on Friday afternoon and off they went on a camping adventure! Not only was this his first camping trip but it was also his first night away from home (he was fine, mom not so much!).
Here he is helping Papa set up the camp site.
On Saturday, Lexie and I drove up for the afternoon to check out the camping situation. There was a swimming area not far from the camp site and we walked down to it to cool off. I brought Lexie's bucket and she was happy.
Lucas got in the water but he said it was a little bit cold so he didn't venture in too far.

There was a small play structure just off the swim area and the kids enjoyed swinging and being pushed by Papa.
I brought the stroller to push Lexie down to the swim area but she wanted no part of that. She is a big girl and can push the stroller herself! 
Apparently the first night Lucas tripped and fell so Grandma whipped out these glow necklaces/bracelets to help him see. He, of course, turned these into his super powers!
After a fun afternoon of camping Lexie and I were ready to head home. We said good-bye to Lucas and hit the road home. Lexie didn't last long and was soon sound asleep!

Lucas had a great time on his camping trip and told me he wanted to stay for six weeks! Maybe next time buddy :).
