Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

This past weekend we went to the pumpkin patch. It was a beautiful day and the kids were really excited!
Before we left I tried to get the kids pictures in their pumpkin shirts but as usual they were not very cooperative.
As we were driving by we couldn't help but notice the field full of pumpkins.
We met up with Travis' Dad and Lori, had some lunch and then headed to the patch. It really was the perfect day for it - sunny, warm and not too crowded.
Lexie enjoyed getting some kisses from Papa.
The kids went through the hay maze.
Lexie thought it was great fun!
Lucas wasn't as into it this year as he was last year. Probably because he was dying to get to the slide.
He couldn't wait to go on the frog slide.
He went several times and loved it!
There was also a carousel this year which was fantastic especially since they didn't have one at the fair this year and I thought Lexie would really enjoy it.
She did :)
Both the kids liked riding the horsies and went on this several times.
Lexie enjoyed running around and taking everything in.
Finally we decided it was time to head out to the pumpkin patch and pick out our pumpkins.
Lucas wanted a green one and found his pretty quickly. He named it Churkey. He named the other pumpkins To To, Ta Ta, Flower and Bug.
Lexie was more selective and mostly enjoyed exploring.
She was looking for the perfect pumpkin. I kept asking her if she wanted this one or that one and her answer was always "no".
Lucas reluctantly let me take his picture.
Holding Churkey on the way back.
After we loaded our pumpkins in the car we went through the corn maze. Lexie loved running around in the corn.
Walking through the corn with Daddy.
After the corn maze the kids wanted to climb the hay pyramids. Daddy and Lexie climbed one . .
and Nana Lori and Lucas climbed the other one.
After a fun day at the pumpkin patch the kiddos were worn out and asleep in no time!

Looks like fun! Luke was looking at the pictures with me and asked if we could fly on an airplane to go play with Lucas tomorrow :)
The picture of Lucas and Lexie holding hands is too cute!
