Today was sunny and beautiful and Lucas couldn't wait to get outside and play! So, after rest time we bundled up and headed outside.
He was very busy getting ready for his kids' birthday party. He sent them home with Papa Pete because he was making their cake and it needed to be a surprise! To start his cake he needed 6 1/2 berries so he went and picked 7 off of the bush (because he didn't know how to get 1/2 a berry). Next he added lots of sugar, honey and bananas. 
He stirred all the ingredients together and then put the cake in the car oven to cook it.
When the cake was done he had me carry it and the two pizzas (boxes) down to the arcade while he drove there on his bike. We set out a blanket, sang happy birthday and his kids blew out the candles. I am always amazed at his imagination and creativity and love that he takes me along for the ride!
After the party we decided to get out the chalk. We drew all the letters on the driveway and played an alphabet game until Lexie woke up from her nap. She came out and played with us for a while and we enjoyed spending the afternoon outside!
Once Daddy got home he and Lexie played a game of Hungry, Hungry Hippos.
