Mom and I met Brian in Salt Lake City for our connecting flight to D.C.
While we were waiting for our flight we saw Orrin Hatch, Senator from Utah, and Brian got in a picture with him : )

After a long flight we arrived at Ronald Reagan National Airport.
On Monday, we went to Mt. Vernon. It was amazing!
Brian and the Washingtons.
Washington's estate was amazing and beautiful. We toured the grounds and the house and were totally in awe. It was probably my favorite place in D.C.
The view from Mt. Vernon. It was a beautiful day and not too crowded so it worked out really well.
We really enjoyed our day at Mt. Vernon!
The next day we got up bright and early and headed off for our tour of the White House.
We got another beautiful day and really enjoyed our tour.
Enjoying a nice lunch before heading off to see the monuments.
Brian had interviews Tuesday afternoon so Mom and I set out to tour the monuments. We didn't go up the Washington monument but had fun marveling at it.
World War II Memorial.
Me at the Lincoln Memorial. This was probably my favorite. So amazing!
The Jefferson Memorial at dusk. After we visited the Jefferson Memorial we walked over to the FDR Memorial and it was awesome. I wish we would have made it there earlier in the day because it was a little hard to see everything in the dark but it was really cool!
After the monuments we met up with Brian again and had dinner at Art & Soul - delicious!!
The next day, we visited the Capitol. It was fascinating.
Then we toured the Library of Congress - beautiful!
That afternoon Brian had more interviews so Mom and I hit the museums. We really enjoyed the Museum of Natural History. I was really thinking about the kids this day because they would have loved it!
