Easter Eggs, Part II

Yesterday I boiled some eggs so the kids could dye them. I had picked up an egg dying kit earlier in the week that I thought the kids would have fun with. Instead of the food color drops it had rollers to paint the eggs with.
Lexie immediately took the rollers and mixed all the colors together.
She then set to work painting her egg. She thought this was really fun!
I also mixed up some food coloring and vinegar so the kids could dye some eggs. Lucas wasn't very happy to see brown eggs but I told them the colors would be richer with brown eggs (this did not turn out to be the case!).
Lexie thought it was fun to take the spoon and get water all over the table.
Why can't I get a decent smile out of this kid?
Lexie really did enjoy coloring the eggs.
These are the completed eggs. Not bad!
Today we had our neighborhood Easter egg hunt. It was crazy windy and cold but the kids were still excited (Lexie a little less so than Lucas).
Lucas couldn't wait to get out there and find the most eggs!
Lexie had a great time once we were out in the field searching for the eggs. The gloves made it a little hard to pick them up though!
Daddy helped scout out the eggs.
I found one!
Here's one!
Lucas had a great time running around with all his friends!
Afterwards we enjoyed a pancake potluck breakfast at our neighbors house. Whip cream, yum!!
