April Fools!

I thought it would be fun to play an April Fools day trick on the kids so I made some jello oranges and "chicken pot pie".

Lexie figured it out immediately. She said "ooh, jello!" After one look at the pot pie she knew it was pudding. Lucas on the other hand wanted no part of it! Granted he was not feeling well today and had recently woken up from a long nap but he was not happy about eating pot pie! I couldn't convince him to take even one bite. It did look a lot like real pot pie. It was filled with pudding, starburst "carrots and corn", gummy "peas", white chocolate "chicken" and banana "potatoes". He did finally sit down and try it and said "this is good Mom!" So, I guess it was a success after all :)
