This weekend was full of Easter activities. The kids ended up having 5 Easter egg hunts!

Lucas and Lexie were super excited to help me stuff eggs for our neighborhood egg hunt. Lucas made lots of "unique" eggs by mixing and matching the colors.
We started the weekend off with our neighborhood egg hunt. Lexie couldn't wait to get there and find some eggs!
Once the hunt started she decided it was more fun to open the eggs and eat the candy then fill her basket!
One of our neighbors invited us down to her house for an Easter brunch after the egg hunt. She knows I like to bake and asked me to bring something yummy to share. So, I whipped up this chocolate mint cake and decorated it with Peeps. It was delicious!

At the first egg hunt Lucas bypassed a lot of eggs and went for a certain area of the field so he didn't end up with a ton of eggs and was upset. Luckily we have a neighborhood full of great kids who were very willing to share with him. So, at the next egg hunt I coached him to not let any eggs pass him by, just to pick them up when he saw them and boy did he! He was not messing around!
He had a whole bucket full of eggs and was very happy!
Sunday morning the kids woke up eager to see what the Easter bunny left for them.
On Saturday the kids built a fort in the front room and that sneaky bunny even left an egg in there!
Next it was off to Grandma Dolly's for a delicious Easter dinner and a final egg hunt. The kids got a ton of candy and had fun finding more eggs. Needless to say we have a lot of Easter candy lying around our house! We had to bring snack to our Mom's group today though so I made brownies and piled Easter candy on top of them. They were a big hit with the kiddos!
