Back to School

It's that time of year again - back to school!  We started off the week with Lexie's open house. 

 We met her teacher.

 Found her locker and dropped off her school supplies and stopped in the cafeteria for an ice cream treat.

 She was a little nervous but it was fun to see her classroom and meet her teacher.

 Tuesday night Lucas had his open house.  We met his teacher and dropped off his school supplies.

 I got a picture of him at his new desk.  Notice his name is in cursive, he is very worried about learning cursive this year!

 We checked out his new locker.  He is very excited about third grade!

This morning the kids rode their scooters around the street before it was time to take pictures.

 Lucas picked out his back to school outfit and was very excited to go to school this morning!

 Lexie wanted to wear a beautiful dress on her first day of school.

 She did look beautiful surrounded by the matching flowers!

It's hard to believe I have a Kindergartner and a Third Grader!

Nerves snuck up on Lexie when I dropped her off.  She had a mini melt down and didn't look to happy when she lined up to go inside. 

 I'm doing a project with both of the kids classes so I got to go in to their rooms and see how things were going.  Lucas was doing great!

 He loves his teacher!

 When I got into Lexie's class she was doing great too!

 She really likes her teacher!

It made my heart feel better to know she was having a good morning, enjoying her class and making new friends.  Overall it was a great first day!
