Today we decided to use our extra magic hour and head into California Adventure early.
The kids were excited for another fun Disney day and this one was looking like it would have beautiful weather for us.
We were a big group when we were all together!
Nana and Papa ready for some fun!
Our first stop was to pick up a fast pass for the Color of Wonder show. It's at night but you have to get there early to get a good spot to see the show.
Our first stop (after a quick bite to eat) was Radiator Springs. This one was being built the last time we were here so we were excited to try it out. It had huge lines everyday so we wanted to take advantage of our early entrance to ride it.
It was awesome! Definitely a favorite. We rode it twice in a row before moving on to another ride.
The kids loved going through the pit stop. They thought it was a really fun ride!
Lexie loved riding on Daddy' shoulders singing and chatting away!
Another favorite was Toy Story Mania.
Everyone loved this one!
Lexie ready to roll!
The kids loved looking at the Disney merchandise available at the end of the rides. Just LOOKING!
Lexie tried on a cute hat : )
I got Nana, Papa and all of the grand kids matching shirts so we stopped for a quick picture.
Princess Lexie!
They were a pretty good looking group!
Goofballs!
Hiding from Daddy
Always time to stop for a pose :)
Lexie heard about hidden Mickeys in California Adventure and she was on a mission to find them!
Luigi's Flying Tires ride - basically bumper cars in big tires.
Lexie liked bumping into everyone!
Riding in the Ladybugs in A Bug's Land.
I did not like this one so I rode once and then Travis had to go - made me dizzy!
Next we watched the Bug's Life 4d experience. It was a fun show!
The kids enjoyed having their cousins to wait in line with.
They made up all kinds of games to keep themselves entertained.
Stopping for a quick picture.
We made lunch reservations at Ariel's Grotto so Lexie could meet the princesses. While we were waiting we took pictures in front of Mickey's Wheel.
Nana and Papa came to lunch with us.
Of course Ariel was there to greet us.
Lexie and Aurora.
Lexie got autographs from all of the princesses.
Lexie and Cinderella.
Snow White admiring Lexie's shoes. She got a lot of compliments on those!
Lexie and Snow White.
Lexie and Belle.
A sweet hug :)
Lexie loved the dessert that came out - cupcakes, cookies and strawberry milk!
After lunch we decided to head back to the hotel for a while but we stopped at the Up Challenge Trail on our way.
There were all kinds of fun obstacles to try out.
Trying out the zip line.
Lucas on the climbing wall.
Lexie trying the climbing wall.
She made it all the way across!
Loving the slide!
Climbing through a "tree"
tree slide
Meeting "Dug"
They had a booklet to check off at each station and when they completed all of the stations they were sworn in as junior rangers.
On our way back to the hotel we ran into Goofy!
The kids wouldn't take a rest so they played Legos instead.
After a rest, we met everyone for dinner before going back to the park for Color of Wonder.
We had to get in our spot about an hour before the show started. So we had time to kill!
Lexie always finds ways to have fun!
Me and the kiddos :)
Everything was really pretty all lit up!
Lexie and Nana Lori.
Lucas and I kept busy playing Candy Crush!
The show was really beautiful!
Loved it!!
On our way back to the hotel we stopped at a store and Daddy bought Lexie a hidden Mickey book so they could find more tomorrow!
Lucas wanted a caramel apple so we stopped in the sweet shop to get one.
After a busy day it didn't take long for the kids to fall asleep!
