We decided to break up our trip and stay a night in Portland. Monday morning we got up, ate breakfast and went to the zoo. The kids were very excited and it was a beautiful day!
We started out in the great Northwest and the kids quickly spotted bears.

Once we made it through the Northwest we had to part ways because the boys were just too slow for us!
Lucas was happy to hang back with Daddy and read the signs to his hearts content!

We had a great time at the zoo although Lucas didn't get to finish his reading tour. Next stop, the coast!
