Typical Thursday

This week at preschool Luke's class has been working with puppets. So, everyday he has been coming home and having a puppet show of the Three Little Pigs and Little Red Riding Hood (keep in mind his version at home is him standing behind the chair yelling out the story since we have no puppets). He knows almost the entire story and his teacher said he loves this activity! Anyway, today after school he came home and was building one of the pigs houses out of pillows. I thought we could do a little better than that and built him this fort.
He was in heaven! He thought this was the coolest thing ever so I decided to let him have his rest time in the "house". I set up the portable DVD player, wrapped him up in some blankets and left him to rest.
It took awhile for him to settle down but after some time had passed I went down to check on him to find him like this. This can not be comfortable! It amazes me the positions he falls asleep in! You may not be able to tell from the picture but he is sitting up with his hands behind him, his head slumped over and one foot sticking out of the house. Crazy!
I couldn't let him stay that way so I laid him down to what seems to me would be a much more comfortable position.
Lexie was content to observe the "house" building process. She is such a happy baby. She will pretty much go along with anything as long as there is someone near by to keep her company! Plus, she thinks her big brother is hilarious!
She is starting to sit up really well and likes to sit in the chairs in our front room because they are more narrow so they keep her from falling.

Daddy's home - the best time of the day!
