Snow, Snow and More Snow!

Happy New Year! We had a wonderful holiday season filled with family and friends. Now, we are back to reality, or we would be if it wasn't for the dreaded snow! We awoke this morning to find lots and lots of snow and although it is pretty it is very heavy! We were not pleased to find that the snowplow had plowed us into our driveway and major snow removal was required.
Travis went out first to take on this daunting task. After a few minutes Lucas was dying to go outside to "help". So, I bundled him up and sent him out. He grabbed his shovel and went to work (this lasted about two minutes) and then he started playing.
waving to Lexie and I who were snug and warm inside :).
Lexie in the window trying to get Daddy's attention. She loved this! She would have stayed in the window, banging on the glass all morning if I would have let her.
My turn. I may not be able to make it to the gym today but I guess this counts as a workout. I was definitely tired by the time I was done!
Lucas, the shovelling robot, back to supervise my progress. He really wanted to go into the backyard and was very disappointed when he hiked over to the gate only to discover it would not open.
After we finally finished the kids and I began playing with the ball popper Lexie got for Christmas. Let me tell you, this is hours of entertainment! Lucas loves to push the button to make the balls come out and then Lexie likes to take them one by one and put them in the hole.
When you have cute kiddos like this it's not too bad to be stuck in your house :)

It's crazy! It's raining here today so now everything is turning into a big, slushy mess! I am counting the days until spring :)
