Everyone in our house is sick so tonight for dinner I made basil & orzo soup. Lucas looked at it and asked if it was chicken noodle soup. I said it's kind of like chicken noodle soup and he started to eat his roll. Lexie dug in! She is a great eater and when she couldn't get it fast enough with her fingers she picked up her spoon and went to town. She was soon finished eating and wanted down. This is when the fun began!
She got down and then started to climb her brother's chair trying to get his roll.
He gave her a piece, she took it and ran away eating.
Then she wanted some more but he decided he no longer wanted to share.
This went on for quite a while until he finally gave in and gave her some more of his roll.
Meanwhile, Lucas started inspecting his soup (still not daring to taste it). He said to me "Mama, where's the chicken?" I said "this soup doesn't have any chicken in it buddy".
His reply to this was "I'm very mad at you Mama! I like chicken in my chicken noodle soup!" Some nights you just can't win!
