I can't believe I am the mother of a five year old! How did that happen?
It's hard to believe that five years ago this beautiful little boy entered our lives. Lucas is funny and smart. He has a great imagination and loves to create stories, instructions and pictures. Lately he has been sending his creations to family and friends in the mail and he thinks this is great fun. He is a wonderful big brother and will entertain his sister and then say "I made my Lexie laugh". His favorite shows are Star Wars the Clone Wars, Yo Gabba Gabba and Backyardigans. He loves playing with his friends and when we are stuck inside he pretends his friends are at our house. He loves to play games but doesn't like to lose! Candyland and Memory are current favorites. He is obsessed with video games! This is a special thing he gets to do with Daddy and he can't wait for the weekends to come so they can stay up late together. His favorite food is New York steak (funny!). He is a great kid and we love him!
His Aunt Tracy, Uncle Jason, Tyler and Seth came over early to hang out with us and celebrate Luke's birthday. He was so excited for his cousins to get here! They brought him this ant farm and it is so cool! We have been watching the ants dig their tunnels and it is really fascinating! Lucas even took it to school today to show his friends.
Originally Lucas wanted an I Spy birthday party but he then changed his mind and decided he wanted a Clone Wars party. So, I went online and found this cake decoration which made it easy to create his cake.
Lucas had two requests for his birthday - he wanted it at the arcade and he wanted a pinata. He got his wish and we had a great time celebrating at the arcade again this year!
Lexie spent most of her time on the carousel riding round and round.Lucas was tall enough to ride the bumper cars this year as long as he was with an adult so Papa happily agreed to be his co-pilot. He had so much fun!
Little Lexie wanted to go too but she wasn't big enough.
Lucas had fun riding the rides and playing games.
Lexie had a ball too!
Everyone enjoyed the party!
Lucas got lots of nice presents and was especially excited to see this Backyardigans DVD since his friend Caroline at school got one a few weeks ago and he has been talking about it ever since. He had a great time at his party and really enjoyed having all of his family and friends join him. It was a great day at the arcade! Unfortunately, they wouldn't let us do the pinata at the arcade.
