Today was a beautiful day so we decided to make a trip out to the apple orchard. The kids were really excited to pick apples again this year!
We hiked up to the apple trees we wanted and Travis put Lucas on his shoulders to pick some from the tops of the trees.
Then he gave Lexie a boost so she could pick some too.
She preferred to do it on her own instead and got busy finding the perfect apples to put in her bag.
Lucas stopped to taste one of the apples.
Travis tried to get Lucas to stand on his shoulders so they could get the big apples at the top of the tree but Lucas didn't want any part of it!
Looks like a good one! 
Lucas wanted to find some different trees to pick from so we walked to a different area. The orchard has lots of varieties as well as pears.
Lexie Lou wanted to go too!

I found a stump to set my camera on and tried to get a family picture but it is pretty hard with these two!

We came home and I made apple crisp for dessert but sadly it was a bust! Luckily we have plenty of apples so I will try again : )
