"Then the sun came up."
On day 3, we drove into Zion Park.
Such a beautiful place!
We parked the cars and then loaded the shuttle to take us to one of the hiking spots.

We stopped at the Grotto and got out to take a 2.5 mile hike to the Emerald Pools.

It was a beautiful day! Perfect weather for a hike.
We got to walk under a little waterfall which the kids loved!

The trail led us back to the river and the lodge.

After our hike we went into the lodge for lunch. The kids ran around the lawn for awhile before we went back to the cars.
The kids love these machines that put an image on a penny. They made one at every stop!
After we got back in the cars we drove the rest of the way through Zion.

Zion was really beautiful.
After Zion we had a long drive into Flagstaff.
The kids had a little bit of time to swim when we arrived in Flagstaff.
Then it was off to bed to get some rest before heading to the Grand Canyon!
