Pre-Christmas Festivities

It has been a crazy busy few weeks around here! Since there has been so much going on I'm going to break up it into several posts. So, here is a glimpse of what we did leading up to Christmas.
Uncle Brian flew into town and we were so happy to have him here visiting! Lexie especially is totally in love with him!
We were so excited that Uncle Scottie got to come home this year too (he didn't make it last year). Lucas was so happy he made him lots of gifts for Christmas! One day we all met Grandma Pete for lunch which was really fun.
Me and my little brother : )
Little goofball wearing Papa's shoes.
It has become a tradition to get together at Dad's house and make donuts - yum!!
Finger lickin' good!
Playing with "Uncle Cottie"
It has also become a tradition to burn off a few of the donut calories with some ping pong.

Aunt Diana arrived a week after Uncle Brian and the kids couldn't wait for her to get here! She is great fun and one morning she and Lucas did a little crafting. They created a boat and Lucas had lots of fun blowing it around the kitchen with my hair dryer.
Licking the frosting off a sugar cookie. This one was made especially for Daddy : )
And then of course she had to try one!
We love to go to movies but this year it was pretty slim pickings. We did see The Fighter which we all enjoyed.
Grandma Dolly whipped up a feast for us one morning.
Snuggling with Grandma Sharpie.
We always take lots of pictures and the kids wanted to get in on the action. Most of Lexie's had the heads cut off but that's okay.
Lucas was taking pictures of everything!
This year I thought I would be smart and bought pre-made gingerbread houses but mine still had some structure issues. After some help from Brian we managed to get this one put together for Lucas to decorate.
Aunt Diana was a huge help during the gingerbread house process.
Lexie Lou made sure to cover her houses really well!
She loved making the gingerbread houses!
So did Lucas!
By the time we were done the entire room was covered in sugar but everyone was smiling!
Brian and I did a little cooking and whipped up some delicious sweet potato ravioli - yum!
Breakfast at our favorite spot. We managed to pack a lot into the week before Christmas and had so much fun!
